Spent the day trying to combine the worst field of oats i have ever grown. Only spot they are standing is wnere the weeds are holding them up. Still, that number 66 is doing an amazing job through it. I don't think a modern machine would have had a chance. On the other hand, if you were a good enough farmer to have a modern combine, you would not be bothering with this weed patch. Did see several nice orande tractors drive by on the way to the gathering

Baled straw today with wd 45 and the roto baler. Straw was short and the chaff had a nasty habit of getting under the locks for the discharge. Was thinking about getting the c out with the mounted bale loader but probably just throw them on the wagon myself

Blasted, primed and painted a couple D17 grilles today. Used rustoleum almond and the el cheapo purple harbor freight paint gun. Pretty happy with the results! Hope everyone else is getting some tractor time in on Labor Day weekend!!

Those spray guns work pretty well, I've painted multiple tractors with one.
Mowed orchard grass hay fields with my 190XT, raked with my 160, and then square baled 4 days later with the XT. Let my neighbor run the XT as he has never ran one. He was smiling the whole time and giving me thumbs up while I was stacking hay on the wagon. He said when I needed a driver again just let him know, he loved the XT.

Changed the batteries in my 7000, getting ready to ted some teff tomorrow. Glad I decided to get it ready today, might not be as easy to come up with batteries on a Sunday.

Took the NFE 45 on a tractor ride yesterday. There's another this afternoon, taking the 185. It may get washed first, or that might keep until mid week when it's supposed to be warmer.

Mowed with the 170 and Woods 3pt mower. Used the 190XT and baled mover to load Grandpa's pickup on to the car hauler. Going for scrap. He bought it new 78. Pretty far gone

.
I moved my WD wf from here to there. It was in front of the disk I needed to use to prep for winter wheat. I'd use the WD except it needs sway chains on the 3pt to control the disk. On the project list but not done yet. Once the corn is picked, the WD gets to run the "big orange" brush hog to chop up all the stalks. . |

Used the D15 and cultivator and D17d with disk to get the ground worked up. Then used the 5020 and melroe drill to plant some rye

I finally removed the tank mount from the front of the seriesIII, getting ready to mount a 3 wheel Darf windrow turner. The plates on the sides were there when I bought it, and I think I can turn the one on the right into a mount for the Darf. I think it looks a lot cleaner now.

Windrow turner is mounted, works great to flip the windrow over (probably why they call it a windrow turner). Starting to think about doing an upgrade to the lights, maybe an LED bar on the front and update the midmounts, maybe angle them out a little.

Here's our NTU B going to work for the first time. First cut pasture grass.
Mower did a terrible job. This fine grass is hard to cut on a good day let alone on wet ground, thick and laying down.

Watched it sitting in the shed as it was watching me pack silage. Usually she’s the one out on the chopper but she’s sitting there sick waiting for the harvest money to come in and get her back healthy.

Took the WFE WD 45 down to Mike C's and did a little plowing yesterday. Got some landshine on the plow and I don't think the tractor has ever ran better! That distributor drive must have been an issue for quite a while. Shot quite a bit of video, will post that when I get it done.
