My son and I at the Heritage Tractor Drive 2010.  Dads G in the background.  Its a slow work in progress as you can probably tell.  The little one on the hood had a lot to do with the slowdown....

I always refer by 45 as my "big" tractor and my 185 as the "new" tractor. lol  The beast gets is fair share of use and after the recent overhaul I'm planning on alot more use!
If you havent noticed I take way to many pictures! lol

Loader needs painted and put on. Backhoe just needs a bracket made since its from a skid loader.

Actually stuck here. Ran out of gas but started spinning with a log and that was it. 2000+ Mitsubishi diesel in 4x4 locked barely got it up the last 10 feet!

Here is my 45 when I am pulling it.  It is the 148th tractor to come off of the assembly line so its a '53.  Great tractor, and we restored it in 2006.  Normally just a show tractor, but gets pulled a couple times a year.  Suited up with 2 sets of rear wheel weights.

Hager how does the sled with a transfer truck work? I would like to build one like that  especially if the road tractor moves it around from pull to pull.

Here is a picture of my dad in 1954 when he bought the WD45 new.  On either side are 2 of his brothers, one on a Massey 44 I think and the other on an H.  I have the tractor today, still in the original state except I put all new tires and rear rims which cost me more than Dad paid for the tractor and he also got a plow, cultivator, planter and a disc.

mlpankey, I am not sure how the sled transfer works, but i think as it is pulled down the track, the truck tire to track pressure is lessened somehow, meaning the front tires of the truck make less contact with the ground, and there is also a weight box the moves up too, and when combined this would put more pressure on the skid under the truck.  The sled seems to work quite well, and pulls pretty decent, easier than some of the typical style of sleds around here.

this is not mine, but it was my grandpa's pulling tractor that he and my cousin restored. my cousin now owns the tractor. all summer grandpa wanted to get just one more pull down the track  with her....but sadly that never happened, his health went down hill fast.

You could be right, I knew I had this old picture however I also found several other negatives of the tractors, now to figure out how to get them developed.

The 1st picture is the day i bought my WD-45, from the same farm my grandpa (Cordell's Garage) sold it to on October 10, 1955.

The 2nd picture was taken after the restoration.

The 3rd picture was my wifes (Megan) idea... she thought we needed our picture taken with the old WD-45.

Thanks:
Justin
