    Posted: 11 Feb 2010 at 10:58am
Was out doing some snow pushing a couple weekends ago and while doing some light back dragging with the loader, the engine lost power.  I have a 400 series loader on the WD which uses the pump on the crank shaft pulley.  Oil pressure still in the 15-20# range, but the engine is no longer idling and running like it did.  I would appreciate any suggestions as to where to start looking for the power loss reason.  When I say it isn't running like it did, it doesn't idle smoothly and when I increase engine rpms  with the  throttle lever, the engine doesn't run as fast as it did before.  I can increase engine rpms using the fuel control rod into the carb, but it doesn't hit the same rpms using the throttle.  I was wondering if the governor is the problem or are there other things I need to deal with?  Thanks for your help.  Jim

Boy it sure sounds like somethings up in the governor,,almost sounds like somethings stuck (or came loose) and not letting it operate to its full potential!
