A custom gear from bernie platz. It's 6.75th gear. I'm coupled in low range. I need to be in 7th high range. It only pulls down about 300 r.p.m.s I always spin out around 4200-4300 r.p.m.s.

How many DAYS did it take you to come up with this? Suddenly you go from the guy who ruins everyones posts with your obnoxious bs and ego filled remarks, to mlpankey - public servant. I'm not buying it. This is a new low even for you. You wanted pics, you got them deal with it. Your loss induced guilt trip isn't gonna work. You've already shown you have no shame or scruples. You have no right to oppose someone playing by your own rules.
They only thing I could possibly be guilty of is putting up a funny picture that represents public opinion. You've lost again. |

Here's a tractor my former boss owns. I did some work on the engine, some on the chassis, and I rebuilt both Detroit lubricators and plumbed the gear train lubricator up. I also made new wood bearings for the plow and made the drawbar for it. This isn't tractor pulling but listen to the engine before and after all 8 bottoms are in the ground. This is a 30-60, that's rated at 30 drawbar horse power.

Here's a couple more of the twin and the big cube single. The single was having probably the best run ever....... until the hose between the intercooler and intake manifold blew. Stuff happens.

We are located in the eastern part of North Carolina and are proud of what we have been able to accomplish with the two 180,s that we run in the 6700 lb. hot farm class. I would also like to know if there are any other clubs or tracks in the east that offer this class,(370 ci., single turbo(3x3), any pump, unlimited rpm, 24.5 single cuts).
video is on youtube under allis chalmers 180 single turbo road gear http://youtu.be/22b_Ycjhxk Thanks, o.p.s. for starting this thread |

Doug,
I have watched classes like this (360 cube - 3,000 RPM - 5500 - 6500 lbs.) develope over the last couple of years and to me it is an interesting class because it is a nice fit for the old 301 engine. You can easily get to 360 C.I with a 301 and easily get to 6,000 lbs with a 180 or 190 driveline. You spoke of the Missouri group that has the 5,900 lbs Pro Farm class. I have watched the tractor in the link below on You tube and at Gordyville. It has the 5.9 Cummins in an Oliver driveline I think. He seems to be the guy to beat in Missouri at the described class. Just watching in this video he appears to be in a gear which is close to 7th in a 180 - 185 or 8th in a 190 - 200. Should be easy enough to do, but it will take no less than 340 cubes and a pump that will deliver at least 500 cc's. Super Dave is in roadgear with a 180 and 24.5 tires so 7th should be doable for sure. Edited by O.P.S. Heads - 19 Mar 2013 at 6:09pm |

Very nice run ! Luv the 301 ! talking about the 5900 class, that White does run good , i got a 180 that used to have the 450 Roosa , hybred turbo , etc ;always ran in 6th, sometime 7 th , but it ran at 4500 rpms ,i put a Bosch A pump , Crowler clutch and half gears in now - just never could get the combo back right , the class now has a 3000 rpm limit and not sure if i can keep everything spooling with out running 4500 rpm,s ; gonna get serious this year tho
