     Thanks for the pictures, Russell.
Hi Russell,

The car is actually a 1934 Chrysler Airflow sedan, factory RHD. So far I have completed some bodywork on it but most of my time since finishing the model A has been located missing parts for it. The Airflow is a long term project. The United has just jumped the queue!

Oddly here in Australia boats were built with the steering wheel on the wrong side. I restored this one around 12 years ago it was built only a couple of hours from my place in the mid 1960's and is powered by a Dodge Sidevalve 6. I purchased the boat from the original owner and returned it to completely original condition.

I'm of the belief that all boats are right hand drive as the weight of the driver offsets the torque from the propellerlifting the starboard side.

Thanks for the picture of the tag. Appears to be standard earlier S10 markings.

Clean filter three times daily? That would've been fun. I guess I've never paid attention to the air filters on these before as I've never had anything older than a late '39 B with the more standard oil bath air cleaner style from on up into the '50s.

Wonder if anyone ever cleaned the filter 3 times a day.
The Chrysler is an interesting looking vehicle. I have seen a very few Airflows but didn't recognize yours as such. Guessing that is the source of your forum name; obvious now. Hope you can find all the parts you need.
The center of the engine tag is interesting too. "Powerful as the nation".
We will all be watching for updates to your progress on this project. Thanks for the info and pictures.

You truly have a gift if you can get it going again, Way more work than I would take on but I’m glad someone cares that much to save her. Good luck, looking forward to seeing updates.

Thanks, although time will tell how this will go. My previous restorations have not been too ambitious with tractors to date so this will be a real test, but the inspiration has come from Jacob with his 6-12 project. For me the tractor is far too rare out here to see it in someones garden rotting further, and the seller was of the same opinion. For now I am going to just slowly chip away at pulling the tractor down to assess what needs doing and how much damage has been done sitting around. The tractor was running in the early 1990's when donated to a museum from what I have been told.

Travis, I'm humbled at the fact that you are inspired by my crazy projects.  But I guess that is what it is all about, trying to encourage others to tackle a project a little bigger than you are comfortable with.  That is how you learn and increase your skills.  I know I have the last couple of years.  It's funny how you mention me, because as I look at your pics, I am drooling, this is exactly the kind of piece I am drawn too.  A project!  You have absolutely nothing to loose by taking it apart and fixing it, because it is no good the way it is (besides yard art, and it's too nice for that).  Keep us posted, I'll be following this with much interest!
To me the serial number looks like U1454 ?
I'll be the first to admit that I don't know much about the U world though, I have yet to dive down that rabbit hole.  I guess I better be careful, you may make me want to get a U after watching your restoration....

Thanks Jacob, although I don't think it will be as fast as your 6-12 restoration!
With the serial number I posted it as I am unsure, the 1 seems to be punched at a different angle and could be a / ? I have a UM powered U and the number on it is very clear and no / . Hoping someone may know for sure.
Apart from the rear wheels being free, nothing else is so far. I will start a rough plan of attack and hunting a few basic odds and ends soon.

Very interesting low grade fuel manifold and carburetor.  Similar design to a distillate manifold used on 20-35's that seems to more common outside the US, but still very rare.  Will be interesting to see it disassembled.

Nice tractor! Your serial number is 1454. The brake should prove that, as they switched from a brake pedal to a hand lever at #1008. Mine is #1005 and has the pedal. Mine also has the 1 made with a chisel instead of a proper number stamp, just like yours. Later ones I've seen had a proper number 1.

Its good to see a younger man want to tackle something like this project Travis!  Keep the pics coming and GOOD LUCK with this vast undertaking!

Thanks for that, I suspected it was a rough 1 given how untouched the tractor is but given how crude it was I couldn't be certain.

Sounds like I best send you a message!

In the meantime I found 3 front wheels and a fuel tank at a local auction so they will be coming home soon and Jacob sent a much needed parts manual which arrived today too!
