Time to put in the new front spindle bushings in the G I have been working on. Drove out the old bushings today and found that the lower bushings are half the length of the upper bushings. The four bushings I bought are the same length. The parts book shows them as one part number. So I cut one in half to do the bottoms. The spindle housings are bored to accept 1 1/4" bushing on top and 5/8" on the bottom.
Oh well, another of life's great mysterys. Bob@allisdowneast |
