Did you rebuild the power steering front support? If so how difficult was it? I'm having problems with my D17 Series IV. Seems something let go in the front support and I was wondering what I'm about to get myself into.Confused

Was it a very complicated task? How hard was it to find the correct replacement parts?

ive been working on this d17 with ironac, and this is what we had to do for drop that front powersteering gear and rack. we r looking for the largest tube that runs from under the front of the left side of the engine , runs to the right side and up to the powersteering, its the largest of the 3 tubes that are present.

I had to replace the seal on the main steering shaft.  The hardest part for me was moving the front wheel assembly out from under the tractor.  Two people really helps.  The bolster is heavy but take out four bolts and support it with a block and jack and you are good to go.
