Hi guys just looked at a tractor it has wd45 decals and a curved shifter, but the serial number is 156638 so what is it a wd45 or a wd. Thanks the serial number charts are confusing me.

The WD started at 7 in 1948 and stopped at 146606 in 1953. The WD45 starts at 146607 in 1953 and goes to 236958 in 1957. Yours is a 1953 WD45.

I have even seen one without a S.N. I was told that the rear end got out of the factory with a crack in it. So at the dealership, it was changed out with a new one under warranty and it was never stamped.
