I have a CA with a cast iron oil pan. Will a D 14 steel oil pan fit and work properly?
This tractor has a cast iron valve cover also. Was this normal?

Sounds like you have an engine from an older tractor in your CA. J Carlson

Wartime AC engine, VC and OP were made of cast pot metal, as the steel was unavailable due to wartime shortages. Pretty sure the D-14 pan won't fit, but b, c, ca pans will...

B, C, CA, RC, D10/12/14/15 all oil pans are interchangeable. As for valve covers The B, C CA & RC will interchange. Only some have 2 bolt holes and others have 4. Use the correct hardware for the number of holes you have. Those that don't know should keep mum.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

YEP... You valve cover and pan came off a B or C engine from the early 1940s... Or maybe the entire engine... You could tell from the serial number.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
