Needing a little help on my 1958 CA transmission. I replaced all 3 reverse gears because they we worn and it was apart. Checked the inside and outside teeth before installing, but never thought to check the thickness. I could not get any gears to mesh up. Took it back apart and found the pinion reverse gear is ~.180” thicker than the old gear. Book shows 2 different part #’s for early and later. Never see more than 1 listed on parts websites. Thanks for the help. |
