My D17D got a valve stuck open and it was hitting the piston. Should have space open in the shop this weekend and will roll it in and pull the head and take it to the engine shop for rebuilding. I am expecting to see the piston damaged/cracked as a result of the stuck valve and am wondering if one can purchase a single piston/ring/wrist pin set?

Yes, you can. I just puchased one sleeve and piston assembly this past winter. I think it was around $110

I guess I should have asked for a source on where to purchase a Piston/ring/wrist pin assembly. Any suggestions? Thanks |

I got a set of sleeves and pistons from Sandy Lake. $145 per hole for USA made aftermarket. A little over $200 per hole for AGCO parts.
