Many thanks to Mlpankey and Kev/Ont who helped me with my high revving 45. I did make a discovery, though. I have a governor spring that according to the fellas who rebuilt it "will rev that motor to 2200 rpm's". I do use this tractor for pulling so I have to keep my rpm <1890 rpm. Right now, it turns 1855 but the cost is my hand throttle has about 4" of movement. Rather than having the usual governor "snap" that Allis' have, mine is now more sluggish. But when under a load, my carb is definitely opening up, which is different than last year because I was adjusting the rpm's on the carb side and the rod was not allowing the carb to open. Am I ok with this setup, or am I missing some info? I have a pull next weekend out of town to get the bugs out. I got my brakes smoking yesterday trying to stop that 45 going up a hill, seems strong...any suggestions? Happy Easter everyone!
