You know that the worms gear is part of the shaft and not a seperate piece. The length of the shaft varies with the tractor serial number. It either 46 5/8" 46 7/8" or 47" unless it's a IB than its 31 5/8".

I have a spare if it is the right gear system, and you are welcome to it if you pay shipping. I am going to rob the steering wheel off of it anyway, so it wouldn’t be too much trouble to pull the shaft.

How do I figure out which box is the one for the shaft you need? My spare tractor and the one I am bring back look exactly the same to me.

I will go take a picture of what I have and post it. Give me 20-30 minutes.

OK, here are 3 views of the steering gearbox on my spare B. If this is what you need just ask and it's yours.

OK, I have an offer for someone to buy the entire steering sector minus the steering wheel, So, Ted if you want this shaft you have 24 hours to let me know. I need to offset some of the costs of my new mag, carb, ect.

Respond in this thread as private messages on my phone doesn't allow me to respond.

Thanks.

OK, have you found the info you were needing? Since I am pulling this steering sector off my parts tractor anyway I can measure it. This is another 38 and can get a serial number if that helps.
