Hi
I am currently looking to adapt a side sickle mower on my D272. I have some quesion. Looking on the  Allis Chalmers 82S side sickle mower for D14 ( or D15, D17)
In transport position, to prevent the mower frame going down, due to the slight leak in the hydraulic distributor, or in the cylinder  I guess that there is a retaining hook by passing the cylinder.
I can't see it on the drawing.  Does there is a such device or another option to to block the cylinder in the up position?

A chain, attached to the outboard cyl mount, and back to the frame should accomplish what you want, just be sure to mount it to strong points and make sure it doesn't rub anything vital, when its tight...Wink

I have a 82S and I’m unaware of a transport position for the cylinder, the sickle bar transport via the hook rod through the sickle is the only one that I am aware of. Repairing the cylinder or replacing it is your best bet if it’s leaking that bad.
