Here is a pic of my D17 series 4 with loader.
Not the prettiest loader, but for $350 and a few mods, I can't complain.   Was on an Allis 185 before I put in on my D17.   The previous owner adapted a different bucket onto it and did a fairly good job.   The only thing I don't like is the tilt rams should be longer and have a longer throw, as they don't move the bucket up and down as long as I would like.   I have debated buying new rams and cutting off the mounts and welding them back on to accomodate the longer rams, but like many other projects, haven't gotten that far.   Works fine the way it is for now.

Chuck, that looks like a heavy loader the way the front tires are squatting.

Dean, it is.   I have since mounted up a new set of those used aircraft tires that are like 20 ply.   They handle it just fine.    The tires I used to have on that tractor before the loader were pretty much shot, and the weight of the loader proved that!

Eldon, how high does your F10 loader go? That super 6 loader on the WD seems like it has wierd geometry on the hydraulics, never seen one like it before.

I'm wondering how it works too. Looks like the front frame that the cylinders push would have to slide back and forth where they are mounted to the loader ? How does it not hit the belt pulley when lowered ?

The Farmhand lifts high enough to scare you when you are directly under the bucket! I took it off the tractor probably 4 years ago so I could use it to plow with.

I sold the loader and tractor some time ago, but there was a linkage up front that changed the geometry as it lifted. If you look close you can see how it keeps the bucket level as it lifts and lowers. The arms are outside the belt pulley. It did have pretty good lifting power.

My Dad built this loader back in '59 or '60 TOTALLY from scratch, including the rams which he made out of black iron pipe and saw mandrel shaft. He had no torch so all the cutting was done with his Forney stick welder and/or a hand hacksaw. He was the best man on a hacksaw I have ever seen.
It is patterend after a well known brand that I can't recall the name of right now.
This is the first of three times I got stuck while bushhogging the property around the local firehouse back in August..
