Can't say if a 2 or 3 are the same, this is all I found for you on http://www.ytmag.comRe: Jet Star 3 Transmission oilPosted by T.R.K. on December 24, 2007 at 05:57:06 from (64.12.116.68): In Reply to: Jet Star 3 Transmission oil posted by Otis Nixdorf on December 22, 2007 at 16:03:19: You do fill at the plug by the shifter. The check level plug is on the side by the brake pedals. There is also a check level plug for the front compartment but it will only show fluid after the tractor runs a while. I can't remember which side it is on. All the compartments-Torque Amplifier, gearbox, differential are connected. The front compartment is filled to its proper level by gear oil slung from the gears that is channeled up there. If you are wanting to change the fluid, there is a drain plug above the drawbar that takes care of the gearbox and the differential and there is a drain plug for the Torque compartement on the clutch side near the step. The book calls for 90 wt oil. I use 90wt GL-1.Edited by dannyraddatz - 27 Jun 2010 at 6:35am |
