You are going to very pleased with this and the way it handles. I ran dad's when I would come home for a visit and it was a pleasure to run it as it handled our equipment really well.

Yes, this is the tractor North Star had. I talked to the former owner who had bought it new in 78. He said it had pulled a 12 row planter most of its life.   They took very good care of it.  The last three years he said they barely put 200 hrs on it.  This tractor will be doing mostly tillage work for me.  Also this tractor must be one of the last 7040's because the serial # is 7456. Anybody know what the last one is? Thanks

8250 is the last serial number in Norm's book but he lists 7280 7040's produced so that may not be accurate. Serial numbers on 7040's started at 1001.
