The 149 and 160 engines from a D14, D15 or D15 SeriesII farm tractor will all fit...holes in the hood won't match up.

Fixing the injection has to be cheaper than buying and swapping a engine?

a diesel is much better in the long run also. you will get better life and horsepower out of it. with a rebuilt pump and injector work you will be surprised at the power and lack of fuel consumption.

There are a couple good guys on here that do pump work. On my HD3 someone recommended a guy on ebay that rebuilds pumps. I sent mine to him and he also went through and cleaned and checked the injectors. With shipping, I think it was a little over $400 round trip. That's a far cry from 800. If you're interested, I will try to find the receipt from him. I think I sent it off around thanksgiving and got it back in less then two weeks and that included the holiday week.

If your are using the machine a lot. Stay diesal I know they are alittle less power. But us a lot less fuel. And the HP is a lot differant when running a hoe. Had a gas hole (IH 3616) and went to a allis 615 diesal. Was night and day as fare as working underload. The gas was quick to bog down and slow to recover under load.
