I realize I'm missing some friction material there, but how is this engine clutch brake adjusted? Something to do with that single bolt on top?

That bolt is the adjusting brake screw

Loosen the bolt and turn the adjusting ring. Easier to do it when the engine is out. I cannot remember if you tighten or loosen the ring.

So I fiddled with the clutch brake last night and still haven't figured it out. I loosened that bolt on top but sill wasn't sure how to adjust the brake.
I also spent about 30 minutes trying to fish one of my wrenches out of the bottom of the clutch housing. That was fun.
