which end do you bend the cross link between the carb and the governor on b allis
the carb. end or the governor end . How do you bend it that rod is pretty stiff I don't want to damage the governor end .

I had a CA that I had to adjust the governor linkage on, and on it I bent the governor arm that crosses the front of the engine. I removed the governor cover and put the linkage in a vice and bent it with a pipe wrench, however I have been told that it can be bent on the tractor with 2 pipe wrenches, but I removed the rod and cover to bend mine, and it was really pretty easy doing it that way. I even reused the governor gasket, and nothing leaked. I believe that the B would adjust the same way. If you have the manual for the B, the procedure should be in it also. Good luck.

I always use a piece of pipe on the open end and a very large crescent wrench on the closed end. You'll have to remove the oil supply line or it will get damaged by the wrench. On the tractor is the best way. It takes a few tries to get it properly adjusted. Just my experience.

I put the rod through the hole in the end of a large Crescent wrench and bend it while on the tractor.
