I am looking at a Gleaner N7, 1979 combine. It is in fairly good shape. Was looking for advise and possible prices members thought might be good. I want to thank everyone for helping me with a lot of questions I have posted.

The ones I have seen have been anywhere from $6000 to $15000 for an excellent one. THings to look for that is common points of wear. Feeder house chains upper and lower. Check the clean grain and tailings elevators for worn through spots and bad chains. Check all the augers and grain tank bottoms. Give the belts a looking over. Also Just take a look at the cage, and helicle bars and cylinder bars. Check for alot of wear and bent spots in the cage. Just look it over you can spend alot fast getting it back up into shape if it needs these. Good Luck!!

Cage sweep was a nightmare on ours. We replaced the open cylinder with a closed one. Doubled the helical bars (piggy backed them). New extened concave. New cage. Pryor to that, it was doggy in beans. After these improvments, a real bean eater. Good luck
