I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

I get really TIRE over these ongoing discussion. Maybe if we would TRANSMISSION our thoughts to those in charge they would put on the BRAKES and SWITCH to a different design. If they would DASH in a different direction, maybe we could all SEAT a little better.

Maybe there is a DIFFERENTIAL way of doing things ? ... or at least a BATTERY way ? Dont be so COIL, just PLUG in the data and get another answer !!

A friend just bought a new 2016 Volkswagen with less then 100 miles on it. He had one when they were recalled for the pollution problem and he loved that SUV, but he took the buyout at the time because it was a pretty good deal. They got a Lexus SUV  that he never did like as well. He was talking with a person who has a Volkswagen and found out they fixed the problem and sold them at auction, Any way some used car dealers were able to load up on them, He found one that had 8 left in stock, dealer said he had sold a bunch of them. Just wondering when they get chips for these vehicles if they will have a bunch of new 2 or 3 year old vehicles to sell?

My neighbour recently bought a BMW, a Volkswagen, 2 Fords, a Toyota and a Chrysler...I think he's got the car-owners virus.

Picked up my new Duramax 2500HD High Country a week ago, assembled in Flint, MI. Doesn't have Park Assist or Heated Rear Seat due to chip shortage. But sure has enough other toys to keep me amused. G |

Yes Steve it apparently can be activated later. There was a $50 Credit for the Park Assist non-function. Apparently all the Sensors and wiring etc. is in place, just needs the appropriate Chip. Sales Invoice says it will be installed Free of Charge when it becomes available. G |

if you NEED 'park assist', you shouldn't be on the road..... ![]() it's still bs that you 'need' 50+ computer chips to run a dashboard and 'cabin contraptions'. |

Most people done NEED it Jay ..... Just advancements in technology.  People WANT all the little  add ons.... If nobody BOUGHT them, then factory would not SELL them..

Same with washer / dryer / microwave / TV/ computer..... you dont "NEED" all the gimmics... people just WANT them.
