The power director is the high and low.

If you eliminate the hydraulic power director. Then you have to replace it with the coupler to lock the shafts together Or a small gearbox but you have to stop and change gears.

I think DR Allis, or OPS heads has what you need. How much power were you still getting away with using the PD still?

If you want the use of both the high and low range but do not want the issues of a potential P.D. clutch failure or slippage contact Dr. Allis. This is not an on the go shift, but you can choose either high or low range. Mack's gearbox eliminates low range but either speeds up or slows down the remaining 4 gears. Just depends on what you want to do.

It is wise to get rid of PD clutch. With RPMs it is a bomb waiting to expand.    MACK
