Anyone here from close to there? Was out fishing at Lake Poinsett some years ago and remember seeing what looked like a considerable Allis collection on the North side of highway 28?

I live a couple hours south, seems to me there was a large collector up that way that passed away a few years ago and they auctioned it all off. I think someone even posted it on here.

Thanks Bill, could have been him. I seem to remember a large sale out that way some years back. Deemed it a bit far to drag a trailer. Funny what pops up in the old memory file sometimes!

I think you guys are thinking about Norm Schwanke's sale. That was here in Watertown.

The guy you may be thinking about has some Allis stuff, but I wouldn't say it's a huge collection, but he has some nice items, just west of Estelline

the farm west of Estelline with all the Allis equipment belongs to Lenny Saathoff. The neighbors call him the collector.

Doug, I bet that is the guy. Seems like he had some sort of AC sign out front. My thought for this thread was maybe he was a member here. I should ask the former live-in if she remembers that. Thanks for the replies.
