But oh so far...
Is the 417 loader but the frame perhaps is homemade, and has not the oil reservoir.....Came off a D17 IV...I could make it work; but do not need any "projects"... ![]() Edited by TomYaz - 26 Sep 2019 at 12:01pm |

A Series IV would have a Model 517 Loader. It uses the tractors live hydraulic pump, oil reservoir, and hydraulic control valves next to the seat. No oil reservoir in the loader frame, no front pump, and no control valves on the loader frame. Gary |

The moving part is a 417 as I can read it, but the frame doesnt look like a 517 either per the illustration on this old thread https://www.allischalmers.com/forum/400-and-500-loader-differences_topic135673.html The pillars are boxed on the 517 as well as the 417 it appears.... |

Tom Can you access the Website 'Grandpas Tractors' They have an 'Operators and Parts Illustration' Manual there. It is for 400 Series and 500 Series Loaders, 32 pages long. On pages 10 and 11 are pictures of the 517 Upright Frames mounted on the tractor. The upright appears to be open in the front in both pictures. Gary |
