Joined in 2005. The very first words I ever typed was Allis Chalmers. It brought me here. Barb sent me an email on how to post pics. I kept that email for a long time. I miss some who have left as well. Breeze was my buddy as was Jeff Z. I wonder what ever happened to Pinky/ mr. Green thumb and his cute wife???
Saw a model T this morning that reminded me of Steve Jelf???

I don't know when I joined but it was a few years before the server was changed to the current one.  I've been to Hutch three times, the first when it was at the farm, probably close to 10 years ago, met a few people the first time but was overwhelmed with everything and everybody.  The second time was the year of the heavy rain and tornado warnings when Creston got his combine stuck in the field.  The last time was 2018, which was probably the most fun as I got to meet so many of you guys.  Probably bringing a cooler of peaches didn't hurt either...
Does anyone remember when the forum changed to the current one?  I think I've had the same handle the entire time.  I finally learned how to post pictures on the old forum, thanks to Barb, but haven't figured out how to do it now.  I haven't seen Orange Blood on for a while either, anybody talked to him lately?  It was enjoyable to visit the Man from Blair, NE, on my way home from Hutch last time.  I'm planing on attending this year and I WILL bring peaches!  Thanks to Darin and all those who have kept us entertained!

Wink John I believe the forum here was updated in Sept 2009.Their are a bunch of you old Wink timers that all started 9-11-09,which makes me think that was the day of the new start.

I fell down the rat whole of Tractor Porn in 2008. My computer wiz son got me a putter for Christmas 07. It took me sometime to learn how to LOL let the clutch out without stalling this contraption.LOL I became aware if the place about the time of the change over. I know I read a bunch on the old forum but this was up and running as well.

I have not had the privilege of being around the tractors Don loved the most. But the effort he put into keeping the knowledge he had learned alive is a rear thing. I have no idea how many "how to videos" he made  as I have not needed that knowledge yet. But watched several just because it was here. Then he did the clinics in his shop, thanks to Don and all his supporting "staff and friends",that worked so hard to keep more letter series Allis Chalmers tractors running.ClapClapClapClapClapClap

I don't recall the year that I found the site, but it was a long time ago. Think I may have been on my daughter's computer. Back then, six posts a day were a lot.
A lot of great people have posted and passed. Does anyone remember Brian from Australia? He was a regular and I don't remember if he passed away or just dropped off the forum. Mike R Maine is not only a good friend but my son-in-laws cousin. Maybe when I sell my H-3, he will buy it and have 10. Bob@allisdowneast
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not sure.

Doing searches on here has gotten me to the fact that there are a BUNCH of new people on here in the last couple of years.  And not all of them young.  Lot of good young people asking questions about fixing this or that and some older that are just retiring or just possibly getting into the 'Orange Disease'.
To ALL of the new people on here, WELCOME!

I'm bumping this to the top to see how many others we can get to spout off....and tell us a little something about themselves.  Seeing as there are virtually no shows this year, we can get to meet each other this way.

I actually joined the YT forum first back in 2005, when I was just getting in to using my one WD at the time (I had gotten into using it during the summer of probably 2004 or 2005). I joined here in 2013, after I had acquired my 2nd WD. I'm on the younger side still (I'm under 40). Hard to believe I wasn't even 20 when I joined the YT forum back in the day! Got my first WD in the mid-90s, after grandpa passed away and it traded hands a few times before it came to me.

I just play with my tractors on the weekends or my days off, and seem to spend more time working on them than driving them, but it is a fun hobby and I've met a lot of good people from here and the YT forum at GOTO and at some tractor pulls and tractor shows in and around Illinois. Starting to get the itch to buy a 3rd WD (or a 45) so I can have one with a wide front... and maybe a loader wouldn't be too bad, haha.

Bob -Maine, I remember the Aussie, Brian Reese, He was a great fellow.  He actually knew more of America and her history, and government issues than a lot of citizens here.  Brian left when several idiots that were on here back in the day were blathering their libnut stupidity and pissed Brian off and he left.  When that was, I don't remember what year but we lost a valuable Aussi awesome member there.  Probably over 11 years ago.  Sure miss his pictures.
  Wish he wouldn't have left.
Then there was a few others, like Dexter Peabody and Rod Rowell... Tried to contact Rod with the 4 different contacts and nothing... Didn't have any contacts for Dex. and makes me wonder what happened to them.
And then there was Jeff https://www.allischalmers.com/forum/uploads/242/JEFF1.jpg Remember him? Kaboom. but he too is gone. Jeff Z. NY

A Learjet 31A charter trip of mine ended in Watertown NY in the dead of winter in 2002. It became a several day stay there awaiting a new trip. I searched Allis Chalmers and found this “live” discussion board and saw a CA with Woods L306 for sale by Don McCullough Jr. I bought it. It was my third Allis since the cows left in ‘93. I now have 14 Orange and an Oliver 77. And there are more AC’s on the way! Keep ‘em polished and ride with Orange pride! Captain Dana

Yea, I have been on here too since before the "new" came around...I only have a WD-45 to remember and get sentimental about youth, and I have less than an acre to keep the battery charged and the oil liquid.  I don't post a lot but I open up this page at least every day to look around, and once in a blue moon I can even add to the advice... or do the 2 word or 3 word game.   God bless you all who are here in this Orange group, and your families.

I have tried many times to nail down when I came about here.

one question is when the site actually started?

I know I found it in the mid to late 90's. Brian Reese, Barb C were the first folks I talked to.
You guys have brought up a lot of memories! lots of folks I had forgotten about.

I guess it is not important when I stumbled upon the scene, but rather that I did. Made lots of new friends and acquaintances!

I can remember why I stumbled across this site and how much money it has cost me! I had one WD that I bought to move demolition derby cars around with (several of my buddies and I was into that at the time and I was the only one with some property to hide them on) and was looking for parts for it. As a result of this site, I have accumulated three WD's, 3 WD-45's, and two HD5G's, one CA, all waiting restoration, as well as several parts carcasses! I had one early unstyled WC, but I had to let it go. I have hauled all these machines from Iowa, NJ and all points in between.
