WF32...But saying it's a "later styled WF" doesn't really click with the hood having NO exhaust pipe hole, and having the angled outlet manifold, does it? Unless more items than the fenders were swapped.
I don't know what to think. If I saw that tractor at a show, with the styled sheet metal, unstyled fenders, and hood with no exhaust hole, I'd think it was a transitional tractor like others have said, but that's just what I think.

Creston
Not saying right or wrong but my styled wf doesn't have a hole in the hood and has side outlet exhaust and it's close in serial no to this one
Just coming from door county I can see adding the fenders to get threw apple and grape rows with out damaging the crop as much
Just another thought if allis did put on the fenders they would have used the unstyled fender mount brake covers not the styled version on this unit

Again, all distillate tractors( WC, WD, WF) had angled exhaust until the WD-45.

Thanks for the clarification. A friend of mine has a 1945 WF with a through-hood muffler, but I must have missed the part about the distillate tractors being different.
Yes, I can see where the unstyled fenders would be beneficial in a grove setting. Personally, I like the unstyled fenders more than their styled counterparts.

early styled WC all had the side exhaust !!! Cut many holes in hoods to replace with later manifolds , guys where more worried about saving money than looks of original

Were there and WW II WF's with an odd rear end like the WC's?

I have never seen or heard of a WF with a steel wartime rear end like some of the WC's
Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed

300 built in '42 and none in '43. Don't think there was any changes. By being a 1940 the original posters WF was built close to the transition time for the series. Fenders were probably more available then, especially WF fenders. I'm not saying it came from the factory that way but I think it is a interesting piece as well. I like it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I don't think you could go wrong either way. Scott
