Front pump seems to have broken the shaft to the front of engine, or the woodruff key is broke.  Hopefully a reasonable fix.  Under A fame to decide if I want to pull loader or work around it.

You are better off then I am, had a piston go bad in my Ford 555B backhoe, cylinder will have to be bored and a sleeve installed, found what I think is a crack in the cylinder wall. To get the engine out was a nearly 30 hour job, considering the time spent hauling tools out from the shop as the rig is too big to fit in my shop.  Now I can't find anyone to bore it, probably have to take it to Denver, I HATE going to Denver!

Kind of a weird story.  My wife is inheriting a piece of land relatively close (no pun intented, but I'll take credit).  It has someone working an oil lease on it, and we are trying to get a grip on what that means.  I was looking on the letgo app, and saw it listed, and the 1 name and initial of last name matched that person, and his location matched.  So on  whim I called and asked if he was the one selling.  It was, so I looked at it, and agreed to purchase for $1000 delivered to my house.  Runs, drives. Just no hydraulic pressure for the buckets.  Tore into it yesterday and the splined shaft between the pump and the crankshaft pulley is either broke, or stripped.  Hope to finish today and repair or order parts.

The splines were stripped.  Just had my machinist friend weld it up.  Hope to reassemble tomorrow.
