I am rebuilding PD clutch in a 200. The 2 driving hubs that drive the clutch disc have little worn spots where the disc spines engage to hubs. My question is how much wear can these hubs have and still be usable? Thanks, Sam

I rebuild my D17 clutch a few years ago. The dealer recomemded replacing them with very little wear. He said the discs can bind in the grooves if under a load, and wont shift smooth. If i can find the old gears il try and measure the difference.

If youve got over 3/32 deep wear groove sId look at replacements. The discs need to slide a little on the hubs, with to much groove they can bind which accelerates wear on the clutch splines themselves. Hope its warmer down there than it is here +5 right now. HTH

I'd replace all 9 discs with new 70261212 discs from a 7000....they will never break....put them in my Dad's 200 in 1979 and still works well to this day.
