I got on facebook to keep up with my kids when they went off to college. I have brothers and sisters and their kids all over the country keeping in touch. Instead of taking picture, getting them developed and mailing the to everyone, now they take a picture, put it on facebook and evryone can see it. There is the problem of people from the past finding you. I feel bad hitting the ignore button but if they want me to remember them from 30 years ago they should post a picture from 30 years ago.

I reluctly became a face book user, but have found it to be great way to keep in touch with family. Have a son in the Navy (San Diego) and a son in the Marine Corps (Okinawa). They are not much for sending communications in the traditional manner, but are facebook users, lets me know how they are doing. Keep it pretty much restricted to the family and a couple friends - have become a convert.

Type "Allis" into the search bar and it should pop up as a suggestion. One is the "real' group and one is one that was automatically imported from Wikipedia. For some reason everything with a full wikipedia article recently got connected witih FB. Here's the "real" group: http://www.facebook.com/pages/ALLIS-CHALMERS/41056536450?ref=ts

I am on it. It is fun to see how the old girlfriends from way back when ended up. As a rule of thumb, the good looking ones are chubby now and the scrawny ones filled out and are looking good!
It is handy for finding old friends though.

I'm on FB, not too often, I don't do the apps, and my security is set pretty high.. It's a good way of keeping in touch with people you don't want to lose touch with, but don't have time to visit them etc..
Feel free to become a fan of "Hunt Country Vineyards on Keuka Lake" too...

I'm on it, mainly to communicate with family spread across the country. I also have fan pages for TV shows and sports teams set up so I get info about those automatically. Helps me remeber when I need to DVR stuff.
Some folks put way too much info on there!

I'm on it, but limit all my info to "friends." That keeps things relatively secure. My sons and daughter-in-laws are on it-------good way to keep up with them and the grandkids. The Allis site also has some interesting stuff.

I'm on facebook too with some other Allis People.
Brian is there too.
Don't spend too much time there but I basically use it to keep in touch with Grandchildren.
Good Luck!
