Have a set of 3 bottom 14 inch snap coupler plows that are going to need points soon. I've read on this topic before and I know that there are diffrent points depending on the molboard that is on the plow. I cleaned mine off a little looking for the number and can read a very faint decal on the back of one that appears to have the number 262-14 or 242-14 on it. Does that sound right and if so does anyone know where I might be able to get a set of points at? If all else fails I can always take one of the old points off and see if there's a number stamped on it.  Going to a local plow day tomorrow with the D14 and plows, supposed to be nice weather.  Thanks, Darrell

My 1968 plow bottoms book has only 226 beginning with 2 and three digits. Has only 332, 362, and 372 ending in 2. There are 24, 25, and 26 bottoms.

Generally there are several shares, points, shears, or blades (called all these things on different bottoms, for the same part) for each size and number bottom. A few are shared between multiple bottoms (most often different bottom numbers but common shares for one piece and slatted moldboards). The many different shares have different lengths, different materials and different amounts of suck.

I don't have any connections to any sources of plow parts.

Darrell, there should be a part number stamped on the back side of the bottom.
Thanks & God Bless

OK, thanks for your help. I'll take a closer look and see if what I can find.
