Later 190xt had wider finals than earlier and 4 pinion differential but most XT diesels were changed over on a recall to wider finals. The 200 had even wider finals. The 200 had a MarkII? 2900 engine with a better cooling fan and other improvements. Grill is different. Some other minor changes in hydraulics. Fuel gage is in the tank and not on the dash at least on some anyway. Not a whole lot of differences really.

I believe the 200 had different 3 point geometry and could lift about 50% more?...also thought I've seen some comments about the 200 having a "gated" power director lever on the side console that caused some PD wear problems if not adjusted correctly.  Mike

200 Had a different turbo and resonator, and a slower turning  blade fan for better cooling.  To name a few.  Right from Norm's boodk.

The 3pt had the cylinders mounted below the axle line on the axle housings versus above, giving better geometry.  7000 was the same way.  Also, didn't the 200 have wider gears in the transmission?

the 200 had larger axles, also offered long axles. the gated power director was part of the cost reduced tractors I think, as early ones had the same lever as a 190. the 200 should actually dyno about 105hp also since they were never tested, and based on the XT test. the injection pump for a 200 is set for higher fuel delivery than an XT, although later XT's were set to a higher spec than the early tractors, the 200 is still a little hotter.

Axles are the same  diameter  from later 190 to 7000, 3 1/4 inch.

Is it just me or does that cab on the 200 look somewhat like the one on a 7000 series?

yes, the cabs do seem similar. the side windows are drilled with bolts going through the glass to attach to the metal hinge. definitely a family connection.

Didn't the 200 come with 38" rubber as standard whereas the standard for the 190 was 34"?  Also didn't the 200 have the two speed pto option where the 190 was either/or?

Yes, from the beginning it was an option. My Dad's gas XT is a 1965 with this option.
