Gary.
The 230 engine has the waterpump mounted to the head. The 262 waterpump is on the front of the block.

I think Tom MN might know for sure, but it seems like he had all of the various versions of the 230 posted with his WD45D rehab. If I remember correctly, the Buda engines in a Cockshutt only had 1 filter, amongst other little differences.

early 262 had water pump mounted to head also. 230 have 2 oil filters with seperate bases like 226. earily 262 had 1 oil filter in a can, later was a spin on, only difference was the base. 262 has 2 mounting blocks about 2" sq and stick from block about 1 1/2" from block on left side, on diesel the fuel filters are mounted there. I had to grind off front one on my 262 block to get WD45D pump to mount. Same blocks and cranks were used for gas or diesel. Sam T-Ga.

Most if not all 230s have grooves in sleeve od for orings and 262 had tapered skirts on the od of the sleeves for their orings. We used to make them at Sealed Power in Rochester In.

The 230 gas engine in my old "A" combine has one oil filter on it and the water pump is mounted on the head. I thought Gary was asking about a gas engine. Well that's what I get for thinking. LOL
