Can anyone tell me why there are only cosmetic traction booster guages available. The 15 I just bought had the oil line to the guage removed and the flare nut had been unsuccesfully plugged off. Any suggestions on how to render the tractor useable without losing all the hydraulic fluid?

My one D-14 has the line plugged down on the 'control valve block' for want of the proper name, with a bolt! Been that way for 25+ years !! My 'new' D-14 is connected proper although the gage is busted. I figure I'll tear the first one apart to see why they fail.
I can't justify a new, working gage, considering I got the whole running tractor with spare tires and rims for 3X the new gage price. Now if I were to win the lottery.....

I have restored working gauges available for $150 with a core exchange.  Some people don't care if they work or not, just want something that looks nice in the insturment panel.  You don't have to cap off the line if you have a non working gauge it should screw right on.  It's gonna be tough to stop the oil there's a lot of pressure there.
