My next project has been drug in and I'm cleaning up and Inspecting .   I started at the front and after cleaning the  inside of the support  found the stop is broken both in the support and chipped away from the under side of the gear, allowing the worm to screw itslf right off the gear. I assumed the easiest way to dissassemble would be to drop the spindle block, I 've removed the bottom bolt and set screw, It don't wanna drop off , What's the trick?  Heat and a BFH ?  I assume that once the spindle block is off I can pull the shaft and gear thru the top of the support?  I'd like to replace the seals ,too while I'm in there.  Also the spindle block has a scraper? built in , I have never seen one like this , is it uncommon ? Thanks , Gary
