Does the allis wd have a hold position for the 3 point. Was trying to use the no5 mower and it was either going up or down.
I read on an older post that this has to do with the 3 point hold function?

Yes it does. The Operators manual does a great job of explaining just how all the screws are to be set for different hydraulic functions.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

When the linkage is adjusted and set-up properly for "HOLD" position work, the hydraulic lever will have a detent at about the half-way point on the quadrant. There is a large decal on the battery box side that tells you what to do to get the HOLD position working as does the Operators manual.

....and most leak off as you use it so it's not like you can set and forget. It is NOT like a depth control on a real 3 point.
