Bought a 200 this fall to use as an auger tractor.  Open station (now) with hydraulic PTO so works great for my use.  I am doing a little post harvest work before I put it away and  could use an assist on a couple of things.  First - the OEM block heater must be burnt out and while this tractor does have a working glow plug I would rarther be able to plug it in for easy starting.  Real tight quarters where it mounts.  Can I get the old block heater out and the new one in without taking the starter off?  Second, I'd like to rig a bypass for the clutch safety switch so I can start it from the ground.  Yes - I know -  I know - no sermons please.  Just looking for a lesson easiest way to bypass.  Am I correct that the clutch safety switch functions by ineterrupting ground?  Thanks.

Without the sermon you can hook the wires together down by the switch on the clutch rod in front of your dash. Easy enough to reconnect for the rest of the year. Switch makes the circuit for your starter wire.

 Loosen switch's stop on linkage rod and slide away from switch OR make jumper from 2 male spade terminals and 3" of insulated wire, unplug wires from switch & plug in the jumper. 
 Yes engine heater can come out w starter in place. Well if it has a Lucas starter not sure on Delco. Remember to drain at least 2 gallon from radiator.

200s Do not have a glow plug.  That is a manifold air heater.  It heats the air that the engine draws in.  Keep it activated for a count up to 75 or so (depends on tractor) and it will start the tractor.
Check both ends of the cord on your block heater - that might be the problem.  ACGO could get you a new heater if you need one.  I have never replaced one though.

You might rewire that clutch safety switch to a second push button switch you hold down while starting. Just like a lawn mower handle safety bar, release and the starter stops.

Yup.  This is what I elected to do.  Left the original intact for normal operation and then pigtailed in a second momentary switch located on the front of the brake platform.  Works great.  Thanks for all of the replies.

When you say ‘block heater’ are referring to a ‘frost plug heater’?
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

I mean the OEM style heater that installs in the block behind the starter.
