I have a 1989 Cub 1811 with the twin Kohler 18hp motor.
Last year it started not charging, actually showing a discharge when run at operating RPM.
I've checked my connections, anything else obvious that I am overlooking?

A lot of common problems I've found with the twin Kohlers and Commands, is a broken stator wire from vibration, stator failure, or VR issue. Another problem I've found was bad grounds.. HTH

took awhile to get back              what steve said,    and also check the key switch  connections to make sure power is making it back to the battery.   magnun should not draw of the battery  after it has been started unless it has a afterfire solniod.  out side wires on voltage reg are a c from stator middle wire on reg will be d c to battery                          did not look up spec but you should have prob 25 to 30 vac to reg at high idle and at least 13.8 vdc out
