Hi all. I am pulling with my 716 Six Speed, and have a rebuilt 16HP Kohler in it that has a bit more hp than normal.....lol. I am pulling in 2nd gear, with a stock 7" driven pulley on the transaxle. I need to get a bit more speed than the 4.2 mph that I am clocking now. I have 26x12x12 puller tires on it now. Should I put a 5.5" pulley on it and run 2nd, or go with a 9" pulley and run 3rd gear? The nine inch should slow third down from the 6.7 or 6.8 mph it might be with the stock 7" pulley. I am looking to get just over 5mph if I can. Just looking for thoughts.....thanks!!
