The bearings in both intermediate shafts in the torque tube behind the power director are really worn out they rattle around I’ve taken the the tractor in half to get to them what is the easiest way to take it apart I see the center of the shafts are threaded. Just a little advise if you’ve replaced them before

You need to remove the snap rings that retain the rear bearing cups and then use a slide hammer with the correct, threaded adapter. You really need a quality service manual for this job. There's a certain sequence for taking these things apart and then getting the bearings set properly. Variable thickness snap rings are what sets the bearing end play.

You should have to take the front pto shaft out first to remove the shafts take the snap ring off and then you get long bolt cut the head off and thread it into the shaft and a slide hammer when I did mine the tractor had been sitting a few years so I got a metal tube to fit over the shaft and put washers on the top with a nut and just kept threading it down.

Got everything apart used a carriage bolt a socked and nut and plate to remove the from bearing cups. Installing the shaft into the front bearings after the gears in the way looks fun though.
