It seems something has let loose inside my PTO Housing and cracked the case, all the oil leaked out. I have not yet pulled the PTO housing from the  torque housing. I hope the damage is within the PTO housing itself and not something that worked its way down from the torque housing. Anybody ever pulled one of these or know of any parts or tools I might need. I hope we can fix it ourselves, my friend was brush hogging when the PTO broke and was able to drive straight back to the barn. Thanks!

There are two "alignment dowels" that need to be slide hammered out before you do anything else. Takes 1/4" NC bolt (gr 8 is best) about 4 inches long so it can go alongside the box and get a slide hammer attached to it and yank them out. After that it's just bolts and hoses/lines.

Dr Allis   Thanks for the reply, I saw that info in the manual. Do you have any idea what could have caused this trouble? When I get the problem fixed I don't want it to happen again.

Normally the hydraulic PTO is one thing you never have to work on, so it'll be interesting to see what happened.
