I have a D 17 narrow front end pedestal and a guy that needs a pedestal for his narrow front D 14.  I know the parts #s are different.  So my question is...will the D 17 pedestal fit the 14 and if so...what is the difference?  Thanks, Den

I would check the splines on the shaft, coarse or fine.

The height is different.

If complete change the width of frame is wider on D17.

He's just talking about the pedestal.  I figured the D 17 may be a little taller, never thought about the splines maybe being different.  Thanks, Den

Denny,  I have a D14 pedestal...complete from the front support on the top to the wheel hubs.  The front support is apart.  I'd replace the bearings and the bottom seal.  $50 (By the way...been to your place...bought two rear wheels several years ago)
