How do you adjust for slack between the worm gear and steering gear on a 35 WC narrow front?

Might be the keyway in the bottom where the spindles go on the verticle shaft worn. Also check the looseness in the steering Ujoint. Thats about it. HTH good luck

Usually the slop in that is from the pedistal housing the rack shaft goes down through there is no bushing there but you can machine to put one there.the only adjustment up there is to take shims out to tighten worm gear bearings.
