I put the back gangs together with the best blades I had and disced dad's garden with it a couple weeks ago. Still getting new rear blades when I can. Finally found a hose support and it should arrive sometime next week. I don't think there will be a better 211 around when I get done with it.

Thanks. Both of the ones I have seem to be solid orange. On one wheels are cream and the other wheels are orange. I will probably paint everything orange except the blades and the wheels I will paint cream. I watched an old Allis film on youtube and the disc in it had black wheels...

You’ve done a great job. Are you planning on painting the frame? Just curious. I’m in process of rebuilding a JD disc for neighbor. All the spacers and scrappers are yellow with green frame. Did AC have a similar paint scheme or were they just orange all the way through. I’ve never seen an AC disc in good enough shape to know. Most everyone around here used IH disc and the big $$ guys had JD lol. I have pull type JD disc that needs serious TLC but as teen it was a cutting son of a gun. I got it for scrap price when the owner passed away along with culti-packer that had wooden blocks for bearings. Have a piece of oak I had sawed to replace them when I get better and find time.

Haven't made much progress lately. Finally had a weekend without rain and started taking apart the parts disc.

I'll be saving and selling all the good parts on this one. Been a very expensive project. I'm coming up on 3,000 with the other one.

Tires are not the greatest but they did air up. Wheels are rusted out around valve stem. This one has 15" wheels. The other one has 14" wheels.

Good deal to have parts since the bearings are not available. Did the summer shade protect the tires so they hold air, as good as they look in the picture. I know just because the part showing is looking good means nothing on tires.

Well here is what I came home with...lol. I haven't checked it out yet to see what all is good. I'll be parting it out and using parts on the other one I have and storing up what is left.

The blades came from Agri Supply. The fronts are notched 18" #80330. I'm going to order the rears from there as well. Smooth 18" #25740. Both are 1 3/4 concavity.

Yep, I'll get it ready for a paint job this spring sometime when the weather turns nice. I'll take some better pics of what decals are left and see if I can find some or have them made. I just ordered an old disc brochure last night maybe it will have some good pics of decals in it. I am for sure ready to use it later on this year. Tractor probably won't get a good paint job this year but I am going to go ahead and paint the hood and fenders so they aren't primer grey anymore lol.

Blake,
I believe I understand about not wanting to do that again!:) I have taken on a few of those types of projects also! My guess is that when your discing with this, it will be pure joy for you! Now your getting close to when you might clean and paint it? Is that on the list too! Nice job getting all the parts freshened and ready to assemble! Regards, Chris

All the bearing assemblies for the rear gangs are back together now. Now just a few parts left to find and it will be a 100% complete disc and I'm never doing this again.... lol. I have all the bearing proctectors but I want them to all be in the condition like these 4 I have. The rest are very worn.

Okay, I'll bite.
What is the purpose of part #70328466? Does it fit into the end of the spring for some reason?

The tires are 215/75/14 and seem to have worked out just right. To tighten the gangs I used a large pipe wrench on the end backing plate to hold it still. After I snugged it up some everything quit spinning and it tightened up. I tightened the nut with a 1 1/2 wrench. I ordered some more NOS parts today for the hose support. I'll post pics when I get them in.

Just curious, but what size tires do you have on that disc?
I've got a SC pull-type disc also, but it's in need of major repairs. Figured I'd get it on its' feet first so I can move it around. It belonged to my father-in-law but I saved it from the scrappers. I believe its a #215 disc with wings. But I'm sure the wheels and tires would be the same as yours.
