I couldn't tell you at this point what episode it's in, but I covered making that part as I was missing it.  You'll have to go back and re-watch to find it.  It is a safely thing, it will catch the seat assembly if the spring or bolt through the spring were to break.  Without it the seat would fall to the ground, which I don't need to explain would be a bad situation.

Thanks Pat.  It will be very close weather or not I'll be ready.  I'm doing everything I can to make it happen, but I still haven't heard the engine even pop yet. If there are no more unforeseen setbacks I should have it ready.  And yes I said any MORE... you'll see what I mean with this weeks video...  Just got in from getting that setback fixed, it's almost 11:30, time for bed....  stay posted, lots happening between now and Hutch!

Thanks, I'm very happy with how it's turning out.  I have not specifically kept track of hours, but basically it's been all weekend every weekend for a year and a half.  So yeah, a ton of hours, LOL!  I am a very patient guy, which is a must for a project like this.  I'm glad some people are enjoying my videos.  Well, off to work on the 6-12 some more this evening...

I've been putting a lot of hours in this last week, and many more to come this week.  Hutch is coming way too fast, but progress is moving quickly as well.  Got another batch of green painted today, check it out.

Wow, this really hits me, because that is exactly one of the reasons why I started doing my YouTube channel, to show people who don't know much about our hobby what is really involved in restoring a piece of equipment.  In this case an obsolete tractor.  Also to show those who are in this hobby that a project like this CAN be tackled without state of the art facilities.  Like another member on this form's tag line "maximum use of available resources" I live by that motto!  It takes a LOT and I mean a LOT of time and patience, but any problem can be solved.  You just have to stick with it and have an end goal in mind.  Oh and don't be scared to ask a few dumb questions, that's how you learn.
I'm so pleased to hear that I inspired you to tackle a larger project!  I ask that you consider doing your own YouTube channel.  I have found it also gives me motivation to continue with my project, I set my goal of having about a 20-30 min video each week on what I have accomplished, so it pushes me to do enough to get enough clips to put that together.  It is also a great way to document what you have done, and a great way to look back at how something was, when you can't remember how to put it back together.  Because we've all been there, LOL!

Thank you Travis, that means a lot.  I'm learning heaps too as I go through this restoration.  I like your Australia AC registry page in your tag line, I didn't know about that until just now, I'll have to check that out more.  I've been in contact with Glenn Sobey who is restoring his 20-35 LF over there.
I can appreciate the effort you have put into making that registry, as I am compiling an up to date 6-12 registry when I have time.  It is a lot of work to track that info down and compile it accurately.   Keep up the good work!

Yeah registries do take a lot of time I have so many updates to do on the Australian one, hopefully things at work will calm down so I can devote a little more time to it.

The United project I am about to start on was only made viable by watching your Youtube videos, my past restorations have been pretty basic but after seeing what you are working with I have bitten the bullet to tackle a larger job.

Made some more good progress this week.  If things keep progressing like they have lately, I hope to make first fire in about a month.  That would give me about another month to troubleshoot and finish details before Hutchinson.  Tight schedule I know, but I'm still being optimistic.

Finished up tool box door. Fan hub and pivot arm assembly progress. Linkage pins. Disassemble governor. Prepping hardware for lugs and sector gears. Sounds like I got something accomplished this weekend.

Focus on the 18-30 Wendell!  That's all you need to worry about, hehehe!  You have 15 weekends to get it going for Hutch, plenty of time...

I figured out a few more things this weekend, and made some good progress on fitting the engine parts together.  There is just sooooooo much time spent figuring things out and making sure everything fits with everything else.

I just wire brushed the flash rust off my pistons, however I did start rebuilding a magneto I found at a swap meet.  You think you have problems staying focused!  Keep up the good work.
