Thought I’d start a fun thread since it’s so cold out. What was the first Allis tractor you bought?
Mine was a 6080 that I still got. |

My brother and I inherited the D14 and and 175 which our grandfather bought when they were 2 and 1 year old respectively. Not long after that, we bought the D17 Series IV gas and promptly started restoring it hours after it rolled off the float! That's when we got bit by the collecting bug!

Bought my 27 year old 79' 7060 PD in 2006. The farmer I bought it from, sweetened the deal by throwing in an AC1300 24'FC & AC 2000 5-16 plow. He had used it to pull a 12 planter, so it also came with space duals & full front weights. He upgraded to a newer caseih magnum & I was elated to get his well cared for 7060. Later I acquired an AC 2000 6-18 plow for it which made a beautiful combination.
Here's pictures of it.http://www.allischalmers.com/forum/plowing-in-february_topic135379.html Edited by AC7060IL - 06 Jan 2018 at 10:30am |

My first Allis Chalmers purchase was a D19 gas that I bought in about 1992. Still have it, and still getting work out of it. It evidently made an impression on me, because prior to it, I was sworn John Deere lover/Allis Chalmers hater. Only reason I bought it, was because I was newly married, had a small acreage in the country, and needed a loader tractor to keep my yard cleared of snow. The D 19 was about the only tractor I found that I could afford. Darrel

Oct 2, 1995; Bought our first G (with loader) from Charlie Felgar, Keokuk, Iowa at a 3I (Iowa, Illinois, Indiana) Farming Show in Blackhawk community, southeast of Terre Haute, Indiana. Week later bought a second G from Charlie. Intent was a walnut grove, which did not materialize. Still have both G's plus D14, AC720 and AC620 with loader. Sure miss Charlie, a good man and an Allis Chalmers enthusiast. Herb(GA)

The one in my avatar which is a 1950 WD, that was my dad and moms first Allis on the farm. Bought it back from my aunt 4 years ago. It has been worked on a bunch and then last summer, given to our grandson Nic hopefully to be passed on to his son Rhett.

Grew up on A-C's. The first tractor that I bought when I started to farm in 1975 was a D-21 Series II. It left the farm in 1980 and was replaced with another colour. In our construction business my first TLB was an A-C I-60. Still have an A-C 715B. First A-C tractor when I caught the collecting bug in 1991 was a D-19 that I needed on the farm. Now more then 20 A-C's around the farm. Had a good year in 2017. Added a one owner 220 fwd, 190 Diesel Beachmaster, and I-600 from the Nesbitt auction.

my first was a brand new 1980 AC 7010, I still have it, still a good tractor, it's never been opened up, have replaced tires, and the a/c system, and added more lights. I did replace the seal and o-ring on the PTO. then came the 180D a few years later, them came the 7080, and about all the support equipment in between.
