Hey all,
It's been a little while but I'm back in search of some information. I have the opportunity to buy a CA with cultivators. However, the current owner has never had the cultivators mounted and I've never owned one. I want to make sure via pictures that all the parts are there to mount the cultivators before I buy the tractor as I need something field ready for spring and do not have time to put together something put of random pieces that may be missing. If anyone could post pictures of the front and rear cultivators mounted on a CA it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Don't have pictures but the mounting bracket that bolts onto the front of the tractor is the piece most likely to be missing and then the two brackets that mount along side of the engine.

U channel in the front under the rad, the angle iron brackets where the engine side weights go, and the depth control brackets for each side are the big things mostly left on a tractor when sold.
There are brackets for the rear scratcher too but you can cultivate without that mounted. |

Don't forget to use the lift, you have to turn one cylinder around to the front.

Excellent. Thanks for the pic. Can someone please expand upon the hydraulic cylinder (I was curious how they are lifted) comment though and does anyone have pictures of the rear scratcher? Thanks.

There is a pic in this thread of the tube attached to the depth control arms. The cylinder ( I think it's the right side) gets taken off the pin it is on and swung around facing forward and slides on a different pin. Then it hooks to the tube to push the depth control arms up to lift the front gangs. The other cylinder stays on back and works the rear gang.

A pic on this thread shows the rear gang pinned to the lift arms and it has 2 straps that connect to the rear axle brackets.
