If it is truly a 190XT, and not some cross-bred old small axle One-Ninety rear end, the shift pattern is 1 - 2......3 - 4.....5 - 6.....7 - 8.

But, the serial number is on the torque housing, not the rear end. ANY XT rear end should be the shift pattern I gave you. Good Lord, can't you tell if 3rd LOW is faster or slower than 2nd HIGH ??

ok I apologize for bothering you am just getting it running and have a pull this weekend running in a speed limit class. it helps with the experience you have trying to figure all the questions out before you get there as I live in town and cant really go take the tractor out in the street and just run around to figure what gear is what so thanks anyway

My suspicion is, when the tractor got the transmission/rear end update 45 years ago, the new decal got installed and the old one didn't get removed. When you get to your event, drive it around in the Pit area. It isn't hard to figure out 2nd HIGH versus 3rd LOW for speeds.
