How can you check to see what causes it not to charge. How do you check stater? Could it be rectifier? Any help appreciated. Tracy

Seems to be a common problem with these 616-720 machines. I've been workin' on gathering some parts together to design an Alternator system that would fit for these machines. Until I get my engine back in its engine box, I'll see what parts that I came up with will work without to much hassle of an installation. You need to pick yourself up a service manual for your unit Tracy. This way you can perform some testing if need be and familiarize yourself with the machine better. I know in my manual it tells how to troubleshoot the system. If Mike doesn't come up with somethin', I can probably e-mail somethin' to ya...

I have a manual. I was wondering if there was a way to check it without it running? I was hoping to check it not running and find the problem. Are the stator still available for them? Thanks tracy
