When i bought my 190 i was told it slipped in fourth high, it has mowed and baled 3 hay crops with no problems this summer. now my son the operator says when it sits a few days when he starts it it won't move in any gear either high or lower, but aftwer awhile it will go fine. Is this a hydrolic clutch and high low that could have a sticking valve or What? he tells me the fluid level is fine and we haven't changed the filter or fluid since we got it, so hard to tell how long the fluid has been in it. Help/thanks Tman |

when it will not move, does he still have power steering? if not then the flow divider is sticking. I don't remember how to fix it, but remember the problem. but usually if I remember right either the hi side or the low side would work.

If nothing works, the pump is loosing prime. Check all the connections between sump and pump. If all is tight front seal in pump needs replaced. MACK

The problem is most likely the flow divider on the pump sticking when nothing works.
Also check the linkage to make sure the valve is fully shifting for the slipage issue.

If it has the filter between the frame rail and the oil pan on the left side, I'd check that first. Rubber fittings go bad and leak and the filter gets plugged. Mine did the same thing and after cleaning the filter and replacing the rubber hose fittings, no more problems.
